Terms of use.

The rules for browsing this website and for buying the book, in plain language, including your right as an EU consumer to change your mind within 14 days, and the guarantee that comes with every copy.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. Who these terms are with

little-stories.eu and the Little Stories shop are run by Simina Cristina Ilea, trading as Little Stories, a self-employed individual (autónomo) registered in Spain. By using this website, or buying from it, you are contracting with her.

2. Accepting these terms

By using this website, you accept these terms. If you go on to place an order, you also accept the sections below about the product, the price, delivery, your right to cancel, and the legal guarantee, since those apply to every purchase. Please read them before you order, and do not order if you do not agree with them.

3. The book

We currently sell one title, The Little Breath Who Found Her Calm, a hardcover picture book for ages 3–10, printed in four language editions: English, Español, Català and Română. The language you browse the site in and the language printed in your copy are independent, so pick whichever you plan to read aloud.

Colours and details can look slightly different on screen than on paper, and product descriptions or availability can change without notice. The first print run is limited: if an edition sells out, we take it off the site rather than accept an order we cannot fulfil.

For the Español and Català editions, the retail price is fixed by Spanish law (Ley 10/2007, the book price law) and cannot be discounted beyond what that law allows, outside authorised periods such as Sant Jordi.

4. Price, VAT and payment

Prices are shown in euros and include VAT. Shipping is calculated separately at checkout, based on the delivery address, before you pay.

Payment is collected securely by Shopify Payments at checkout. We never see or store your card details, only that an order has been paid. Your order is confirmed once payment goes through and you receive a confirmation email.

5. Placing an order

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not yet an accepted contract. We accept it, and a contract is formed, when we send your order confirmation.

We may decline or cancel an order, for example if the book is out of stock, there has been a pricing error, or something looks fraudulent, and if we do, we will tell you and refund anything already charged. You can also cancel an order yourself at any time before it has shipped: write to us and we will stop it.

6. Delivery

We ship within Spain and across the European Union. Delivery usually takes 5–7 days from order confirmation; you will see the exact cost and an estimated delivery time for your address at checkout.

The book becomes your responsibility once it is delivered to the address you gave us. If a parcel goes missing or arrives damaged, write to us and we will sort it out.

7. Your right to cancel (14 days)

As a consumer buying at a distance, EU law gives you 14 days to change your mind about your order, for any reason, no explanation needed.

Cancellation notices and returns go to info@little-stories.eu, or by post to Carrer de Nàpols 307, 08025 Barcelona, Spain.

8. Legal guarantee

Separately from the 14 days above, every book carries the legal guarantee of conformity: under Spanish law, three years from delivery, beyond the two-year minimum set across the EU. If your copy is faulty, damaged in a way that isn't your doing, or not what was described, you are covered.

Write to us. Once we can confirm the fault, we will send a replacement or a refund, at no cost to you. This guarantee is a legal right and stands on top of anything else in these terms.

9. Intellectual property

The text, illustrations, characters, including Bree and Brisa, and the Little Stories name and design belong to Little Stories and are protected by copyright. You're welcome to read and share pages from this website for personal, non-commercial use. Copying, reselling, republishing, or using the text, artwork or characters elsewhere, including to train an AI model, needs our written permission first.

10. Using this website

Use this website lawfully, and don't try to break it. In particular, please don't:

We may restrict or end access for anyone who misuses the site, and we may change or take down parts of the website at any time.

11. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it, and we are not responsible for delays caused by anything reasonably outside our control.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you live elsewhere in the EU as a consumer, you keep whatever protection the mandatory consumer laws of your own country give you, and you can bring a claim either in Spain or in the courts of the country where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for instance when the law changes or the site does; the version in force when you placed an order is the one that applies to it. Continuing to use the site after we post a change means you accept the new version. We will update the date at the top whenever we do.

14. Getting in touch

Questions about these terms, an order, or a return are welcome. Write to info@little-stories.eu or use the contact form.
