Where does your child's breath live?

When life feels fast or scary, we breathe up high in our chest, and our breath becomes small and fluttery.

But when we remember to breathe low, deep into our belly, our body feels safe, our mind gets quiet, and our heart feels steady again.

Try it right now.

One hand on your chest, one hand on your belly. Take a breath in. Which hand moved?

If it was the top one, you've just found the thing this book teaches.

This book teaches your child, and you, to:

Notice where the breath lives, high in the chest or low in the belly.

Take three slow belly breaths, anywhere, any time.

Find the calm and carry it wherever you go.

The Little Breath Who Found Her Calm, an interior spread of Bree's cloud playground

From flutter to calm.

Deep in the centre of a very ordinary belly lives a family of little Breaths. One of them, Bree, loves to fly up, up, up. Then one day the world feels too fast, too loud, and her flutter won't stop.

Then, from down below, the Belly calls her home: “Breathe down instead of up. Fill the Belly like a balloon.”

Through Bree's journey from flutter to calm, your child breathes along, page by page, until the skill becomes their own. And because the tool lives inside the story, it never feels like homework.

This book never asks your child to name a feeling or sort emotions by colour. It teaches one thing, and they practise it every time the pages turn.

More than a story, a ritual for your family.

For bedtime. For after school. For every “too much” moment.

When it's hard to fall asleep. When the school day comes home loud. When frustration rises fast. And when it rises in you, too. Three slow belly breaths, and the whole world slows down. Anywhere. Because the calm is already inside you both.

“

You watch the child relax as the story unfolds, and the exercise at the end gives them the motivation to actually do it. As a routine after school or before bed, it's wonderful for bringing the intensity down.

— Laura, mum

“

I've never seen a book like this, not in nurseries, not in anyone's home. It's not just a story: it's something personal and physical that children can understand. I want a copy of the first edition.

— Edu, father

Simina, writer of Little Stories

from the writer ~

I didn't set out to write a book. I ran out of ways to explain.

“I wrote this story for my nieces, after every adult explanation failed. One Sunday I put the teaching inside a story instead. Then I watched them breathe. Now Bree speaks four languages, because every child in Europe deserves to find the calm that's already inside them.”

— Simina, writer of Little Stories

Frequently asked questions.

What age is it for?
Ages 3–10. Younger children follow Bree and copy the breathing as you read. Older ones stop needing the story and just use the breath. Parents tell me it works on them, too.
Is this only a bedtime book?
No, Bree works day and night. Bedtime is the easiest place to start, but the book also belongs after school, before something nerve-wracking, and in the middle of a big feeling.
My child never sits still. Will this work?
That's exactly who it's written for. Your child isn't asked to sit still. They're asked to put a hand on their belly and make it round like a balloon. The breathing is something to do, not something to sit through.
Which language should I choose?
Whichever one you'll read aloud in. Each edition is written in its own language, never word for word translated, so the rhythm works in all four. Even Bree's name changes where the language asks for it: in Spanish, Catalan and Romanian she's Brisa. If your family lives between two languages, you can order both.
How much is shipping, and where do you ship?
I ship across Europe. Your book arrives in 5–7 days, carefully packed. You'll see the exact cost for your country at checkout, before you pay.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes, plenty of Brees arrive as gifts. Add the recipient's address at checkout and the book ships straight to them.
Can I order for a school or classroom?
Yes. Write to me here with how many copies and which languages, and I'll sort it out.

Tonight, three slow belly breaths… and Bree lands right where she belongs.
